In exciting news, Cardiff Gig Posters has teamed up with our friends at Swn festival to hold a poster exhibition in Urban Outfitters in Cardiff!
Around the store you can find posters for a load of this year’s Swn gigs, plus classic posters from some of our favourite designers including Carl Rylatt, Louise Mason, Casey Raymond, Nadine Ballantyne, Richard Chitty and Bvrzerk (as well as some of my own work as Croatoan).
The posters will be up until the end of the month; pop in when you’re around town for the festival this weekend!

New poster for Kill It Kid at Clwb Ifor Bach. My last few posters have been hand-drawn so I wanted to go completely the other way for this one. I love how dramatic it turned out; probably the first time I’ve been remotely excited about a gradient.

Poster for Divorce at Undertone, 9 August 2011. Bit more gruesome than my usual stuff! I really wanted to work the band name into the design on this one, and I was thinking of ideas for ages. Then I came across a top-down sketch of a head I did a while ago and developed it into this. I leave the reason behind the blood-chucking up to you, it’s more fun that way!
I’m also going to be djing at this gig so come along and say hello. It’ll be noisy and ace!
